Can I scrap my car without a log-book?

If you don’t have your V5C document (otherwise known as your log book) we can still scrap your car  but you will need to notify the DVLA to tell them you’ve sold your car for scrap.

What proof of identity do you need from me to scrap my car today?
To scrap your car we’ll need either:
• Valid UK passport
• Credit or debit card statement with a matching name and address
• Driving licence 
• Tax reminder with a matching name and address
• Insurance document with a matching name and address
Does it matter what condition my car is in?

No!  No matter what condition your car is or your van is rest-assured we will scrap it for you. Accident damage, mechanical failure and MOT failures are all accepted by us. Scrap your car in North London or scrap your car in Hertfordshire – we can do it for you.

How do I get my car scrapped if it doesn’t move?

No problem – our vehicle recovery fleet will come to you and collect your car and remove it so we can get it scrapped for you.  We don’t charge for that service either, it’s absolutely free.

What happens to my car once it is scrapped?

Most of the time, the scrappage is recycled and turned into scrap metal. On the odd occasion your car is deemed fixable; we will deal with the repairs and endeavour to find a buyer for it.
